Shaun Bickley has more than 20 years’ experience in humanitarian access and security, in some of the most challenging conflict and crisis situations. As a leading security risk management consultant and facilitator, he advises humanitarian and development organisations on securing access and safeguarding staff in high risk environments and regularly facilitates personal security, security management and crisis management trainings and workshops for a range of organisations across different levels of staff. Shaun has worked with a wide variety of organisations including IFRC, British Red Cross, Save the Children, Plan International, Oxfam, Islamic Relief, CARE International, Merlin, MSF – Holland, Action Aid, Christian Aid, VSO, RedR and EISF. He is also the author of several security publications including EISF’s ‘Security Risk Management: a basic guide for smaller NGOs’.
