I've worked in the third sector for over 20 years - British Lung Foundation Scotland, Alzheimer Scotland and most recently ASH Scotland where I am Head of Research Information and Policy Development. I value the collegiate approach of third sector working and the company of committed colleagues but I have a long-held ambition to do a postgraduate degree in creative writing. I meet the academic requirements but don't have an adequate portfolio of writing to support an application. Whilst I have space to work at home I find Radio 4, the piano and the garden too much of a distraction so I am, for the moment, harbouring the delusion that being in proximity to other people will force me to work.
A bit about my organisational mission/the work that I do...
I'm trying to develop a book outline.
