She’ll be doing a fun introduction about how human motivation and happiness come from brain chemicals inherited from earlier animals. In the state of nature, these chemicals turn on for reasons that are both surprising, and perfectly consistent with our daily lives. She will tell us how the mammal brain builds the neural pathways that turn the happy chemicals on and off, and how we can build new pathways to support new choices.
