Meet your happy neurochemicals: Inside Out comes to TMP

If you are aware of the Oscar-winning children’s film about our neurochemicals, Inside Out, and would like to learn more from a real live scientist, come to The Reward Foundation’s guest talk by Dr. Loretta Breuning. She’ll be doing a fun introduction about how human motivation and happiness come from brain chemicals inherited from earlier animals. We feel so good from a release of serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin or endorphin that we’re eager to repeat the behaviour. In the state of nature, these chemicals turn on for reasons that are both surprising, and perfectly consistent with our daily lives. Dr. Loretta Breuning founded the Inner Mammal Institute to help people understand their mammalian operating system. She will tell us how the mammal brain builds the neural pathways that turn the happy chemicals on and off, and how we can build new pathways to support new choices. Tickets are £10 each or free for Members of The Melting Pot - follow the link below to book yours.
