This TMP event is a facilitated philosophical discussion following the Socratic model of asking questions. Active, collaborative exercises, a story and some games - it's somewhere between a rigorous debate and a casual chat over a cuppa.
Developed by London-based charity The Philosophy Foundation, the approach is designed to get people to think critically, logically, hypothetically and in a focused manner about matters of philosophical interest. The emphasis is on doing philosophy, and no previous philosophical experience is required.
The topic (TBA*) will be drawn from an area of academic philosophy such as metaphysics, ethics, political philosophy or epistemology, and could involve both the oldest of questions (think existence) and newest resources (e.g. Philip K Dick).
Hope to see you there!
*Do speak to Anna if you have a topic you would like to discuss.
