Deep Time Walk is a 4.6km walking audio book for smartphones telling a history of the living Earth. As part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival the Deep Time Walk team, including TMP Member Rob Woodford, are presenting a live performance through Holyrood Park.

Potters – we’re going along for the ride! We'll go along for the walk and then head to the pub for a drink.

The experience combines science with humanities to help you understand our common evolutionary history with all life, how very ancient our planet is and the geological impact of humanity. We will be walking through the 4.6 billion-year timeline (1 metre = 1 million years) on a learning journey through time.

Book yourself a ticket by following the link below. You can meet us at The Melting Pot, we will leave at 5pm to make our way to the starting point at the Pleasance Sports Centre for 5:30pm. Alternatively you can meet us there.

After the walk we will head to Hemma (73 Holyrood Rd, Edinburgh EH8 8AU) for a drink and a reminisce about the 4.6 billion year history of the planet.

P.s. If you can’t make it along for this performance check out the full list of start times: Thursday 5 and Friday 6 April: 2pm, 5.30pm and Saturday 7 April: 10am, 2pm
